Following on from the release of their debut single Shake, South East London band Winnie and The Rockettes serve up their next offering. Hold My Drink forms part of a wider EP project and came out on 9th October 2020. The band spoke with The Fountain about the new EP and their love for playing live at festivals.
TF: What has the reception been like to Shake?
The reception has been really positive, especially as it’s a straight funk track which you don’t hear too often now. It’s exciting to see and we’re definitely looking forward to releasing more!
TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?
Shake… is fire.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release, do I see news of an EP?
Yes, the full EP will be coming out this year following our next single Blues Bitch which we will release on the 30th Oct.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
We actually prefer playing at festivals, venue’s are great but a festival just has that energy that doesn’t go away. We love the energy of live music in general so the longer we can be in the moment, the better!
