The Spyrals recently put a new LP, Same Old Line, on 30th October, the LA-based band has been getting a lot of press coverage around this new release. The Fountain caught up with the band to discuss the LP in more depth and their plans for the remainder of 2020.

TF: You have a new album out, what can we expect from the Same Old Line?

It’s a different album than anything we’ve put out. The songs were all new when we recorded them so they belong together. I think it’s an album about right now.

TF: How would you sum up the album in one sentence?

Everybody’s walking the same old line.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

Right now we’ve been recording. If we can finish something new by the end of the year that would be great. We’re also just living now and hoping for some better times.

TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?

If I could play at one place right now I would play at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco. It’s all a dream right now. I think the next place we play might be up in the mountains and we’ll film it. After that we want to play in both hemispheres when it’s possible.
