Salvation Jayne have released a remix EP, featuring John Tufnell (Saint Agnes), Jericho Tozer (SKIES), Eden Gallup (Violet Vendetta), Sara Leigh Shaw (The Pearl Harts) Fuji Hideout & Tiiva. The six tracks, which include the band’s recent singles Coney Island, Baby! & Jayne Doe, have been rearranged to reflect the genres of the guest musicians or the dance-based music they produce. The band spoke with The Fountain about the reception to the EP as well as their venue they can’t wait to start playing again.
TF: You have a new remix EP out, what has the reception been like?
The reception has been great. It was good for us to put ourselves in front of a different crowd with the genres we used and just hear the songs in a completely different way was really cool.
TF: What inspired you to do a remixed version of this record?
We have always loved the idea of having people remix our songs. We all love those genres and frequently visit and check out what’s going on over on Soundcloud and there are lots of very talented remixers and producers who can really do magic with even just a vocal sample.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release?
We are more focussed on next year now. We have some big plans in place and are so ready to show what we’ve been working so hard on for the past year.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
Club 85 in Hitchin was fantastic when we opened for The Subways this year. Amazing sound and vibe in that place!
