Peter Sandberg‘s collaborative record with British vocalist, Henry Green, has already dropped via Phases Records. Pinetrees is the climatic single from Sandberg’s sophomore LP Återvända, which was very recently released. Peter spoke with The Fountain about the new single in more depth.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Pinetrees?

I’ve received so many wonderful comments about it and I’m so happy that people are really enjoying the track.

TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?

It’s a track about the passage of time and the ups and downs during a lifetime – a track that I’m very proud of.

TF: Who do you look to and idolise when it comes to influences with this track?

For this track I didn’t have any clear influences, to be honest. But in terms of general idolisation, I would say that I’ve always been a big fan of Coldplay and more recently, Novo Amor. Henry has also been an artist I’ve wanted to work with for a long time so it was great to collaborate with him on this one, as well as Ed Tullett on the production.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release?

Next up is the release of my new album titled Återvända. It’s been quite a journey with this one and I’m so happy to get it out there for people to hear.
