Dreams is the new ambitious debut single from London born and based singer/songwriter Genevieve. Working in the studio with long-time friend and accomplished producer Jonjo, she approached the song as a dramatic aria and combined with his colourful synths for an experimental composition that unfolds a little more each listen. She spoke with The Fountain about the track and her future plans.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Dreams?
It’s still early days but the reception so far has been great! I’ve had some really positive press and radio play and am looking forward to playing the single live on Scenes Media at 7pm on 31st October!
TF: How would you sum up the track in one sentence?
Dreams is a dramatic aria that transports you through an ethereal world!
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?
I will be based by the seaside in Brighton working on the EP, which is due out next year. My second single, Riverman, will be released 20th November.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
I love playing at The Notting Hill Arts Club – always a good vibe and a great crowd. I can’t wait to play The Jazz Cafe in Camden!
