British singer-songwriter Layla Kaylif has just released her new single, As I Am. The latest track to emerge from Layla’s album Lovers Don’t Meet, Layla spoke about it in more depth with The Fountain along with the affecting video fit for our times.
TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to As I Am?
Great. Really pleased with the response. People seem to get the message in the song and connect with it in a meaningful way which I have really appreciated.
TF: Can you sum it up in one sentence?
With an open heart.
TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, you have an album release in August?
So in addition to promoting this album, I am promoting my movie The Letter Writer, which features my theme song Let Me Count The Ways from the album as well. Hopefully that will all kick off in October.
TF: Where is your favourite venue for playing live, where is the next place you look most forward to gigging?
