Austin-based singer Cristina Soto will revisit Seven Lions’s remix of her breakout hit with Tritonal, Still With Me, with an indie acoustic mix.
Cristina Soto was the original vocalist for power-duo Tritonal. Outside of her killer joint discography with Tritonal, Cristina has collaborated with artists such as CloZee, Illenium, Said The Sky, and Psymbionic. Cristina spoke with The Fountain about Still With Me as well as her plans for the year.

TF: You have a new mix out, what has the reception been like to Still With Me?

Response has been awesome so far, especially given how torn we all are between the things happening in the world today. People love the reminder of a tune they adore with the fresh take.

TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?

Releasing the acoustic version of Still With Me is both the beginning of a new vibe in my sound, as well as the capstone of many special collaborations along my career, and I couldn’t be more excited for the milestone.

TF: Who do you look to and idolize when it comes to influences?

I don’t really idolize anyone, haha. I look to original sounds these days, people making things I have not heard before, and the “greats” of years gone. Ella, Janis, Billy Holiday, Nina Simone, to name a few. The passion in their voices, the courage it took to be in the spotlight given their circumstance, that really inspires me.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

More “EDM gone acoustic”! This release is the kick off to several more coming in 2020.
