Singer and music producer Velve is also famously known in her native land as the German voice behind Apple’s SIRI. A child musical prodigy Velve developed and fine-tuned her sound and soon started attracting industry attention and in 2016 was signed to British Publishing Company, Bosworth Music. She has a new album, X to the Million, out, and so she spoke with The Fountain about her single in more detail as well as her plans for the remainder of this year.

TF: You have a new album out, what has the reception been like to X to the Million?

Most people found it deep, arty but at the same time very up to date and accessible. The video art and lyrics were touching their current feelings in this time of change.

TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?

“Danceable and at the same time opening up a meditative space” was something that I heard quite often.

TF: Who do you look to and idolise when it comes to influences?

I never was into idolising, not even as a teenager… there are many gorgeous artists out there, and everyone is giving something precious to the world.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this release?

I will play the album live and show the video art. Also a series of singles is in preparation…
