Mint come from the dolorous landscape of West Marsh, Grimsby. Zak, Veggie, Lenny and Bambi all attended the same school, though the semantics of the word ‘attended’ is loosely applied here. They formed a close bond while locking horns over their different music tastes, and have released new single, Turbulence. The spoke with The Fountain about their fans’ reception to the new track as well as their plans for the rest of 2020.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like to Turbulence?

Amazing! We’ve had plays on radio stations literally all over the world! One including the biggest rock show in Brazil. It’s just surreal to think people actually listen to us 4 idiots from Grimsby haha.

TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?

A screenplay of insanity in the theme of a cinematic plane crash, soundtracked by the strokes.

TF: Who do you look to and idolise when it comes to influences?

We’ve ripped off everybody from The Eagles to Eminem. We all listen to just a huge mass of music so it’s constantly just someone new that one of us has found usually.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release, can we look forward to an EP, LP?

It’s been discussed, we like recording a lot so we’ll probably release something along them lines.
