At just 18 years old Neave Zaria is an emerging star: a bright up and coming artist from just outside London. She’s been singing from a very young age (she was invited to attend X Factor bootcamp aged just 14) and has just released new track, If I See You. She caught up with The Fountain about her new track and her (fingers crossed) plans for the year.

TF: You have a new single out, what has the reception been like?

Absolutely fantastic! I never thought so many people from all over the world would be so into the song, there’s been some lovely comments that have really given me confidence in who I am and what I’m doing, so I can’t wait to release more music!

TF: How would you sum it up in one sentence?

Exciting, Inspiring and in excess of what I was expecting!

TF: Who do you look to and idolise when it comes to influences?

If I had to pick one it would be Amy Winehouse, the songs she wrote are timeless and her voice was the best I’ve heard, I love her music and her single minded dedication to writing and singing what she loved. When she first started her music and style had only a limited following but, her talent and song-writing converted the masses and she became a huge star. Unfortunately too huge for her to cope with.

TF: What is your plan for the remainder of the year, after this single release, can we look forward to an EP, LP?

Yeah, we have lots of material sitting ready for release, the second song is out on May 1st and we are hoping for 2 more releases before an EP in the autumn. That is of course if I can get back in the studio, because at the moment I’m stuck in my room like everyone else!
