With Guilia‘s new interstellar track Trippin’ and the video supporting that release, The Fountain caught up with the artist to discuss the single in more depth, with revelations on her plans for 2020.

TF: You recently had a single release, what has the reception been like?

The reception to my latest single Trippin has been incredible. From the audio to the music video, everyone has seemed to really enjoy the project. Even though it was quite a sound departure from my previous releases, considering Trippin has much more of an alt-pop feel to it, the track and music video have done considerably well.

TF: And how would you sum up Trippin in one sentence?

An alt-pop galactic ride through outer space!

TF: And are you working towards the release of an EP or an album?

I am always thinking about getting more original material out there, but it’s definitely a work in progress at the moment. Off the back of Trippin last year, I promised everyone a trilogy of music videos, including the next two which will be titled Lolita and Love To Hate You so that is what I’m working towards right now.

TF: What else is on the cards for you, can we expect a gig in Scotland soon?

I absolutely love touring and playing live, it is the best part of being an artist in music in my opinion. I have no live shows in the pipeline at the moment, but who knows if I am ever up in Scotland I may definitely be tempted to put on an impromptu gig on as I absolutely love the culture, people and history up on Scotland.

TF: What has been your favourite gig to date?

My favourite gig to date has to be opening for an amazing artist called White Lies. I supported them back in 2016 and it was one of the most memorable moments of my career.
