Will Young recently performed in Glasgow and Edinburgh with support Asher Knight, and Asher is becoming more of a household name, having previously joined the likes of The Vamps, Boyzone, All Saints and Steps on their tours, so this is a very exciting time for him. Alongside this, Asher just released his brand new track I’ve Changed, and do The Fountain caught up with him to discuss this all in more detail.

TF: You have a new single out, that must be exciting?

Anytime I can release new music is exciting but with this song it’s so deeply personal it just means that much more.

TF: And what has been the reception been like to I’ve Changed, can you elaborate on the track?

I’ve been on the road performing this track while opening up for Will Young and the response has been fantastic. The audience has really connected to the story, I think it’s because everyone has had to discover themselves at some point. The criticism that comes with it is hard but you have to push through.

TF: And can we look forward to an EP or LP from you soon?

I am excited now to get back in the studio to write more music. I don’t what the end product will be fully but this year has been amazing having released my first EP, so another EP would be great.

TF: You have just performed with Will Young, how was that?

Will is one of the nicest people! He has made everyone feel so welcome on his tour. I see him every day and we always have a little chat, and some of the advice he has given me has really helped.

TF: How did you find the Glasgow and Edinburgh crowds?

I have performed in Glasgow and Edinburgh loads this past year and I LOVE IT! The crowds are so energetic. I am always feel excited to go back!
