A show about living, laughing, loving and losing your debit card five times in one year. Through original songs and stand-up, New York sensation Catherine Cohen (with Henry Koperski on keys) explores life as an immortal millennial who is tragically unverified on Twitter. She spoke with The Fountain about her new show, The Twist?…Shes Gorgeous and her plans for the Fringe.
TF: Your show certainly sounds intriguing, what is the premise?
My show is a musical exploration of what it’s like to live, laugh, love and lose your debit card five times in one year.
TF: And what drove the project, where do your influences lie?
I’m addicted to attention and talking about myself so that was definitely a driving force for writing a one woman show about my feelings
TF: Have you been to the Fringe before, is there anything you are keen to see whilst in Edinburgh?
I have been to the Fringe but never as a performer. I’m excited to see my friends Cam Spence, Adam Hess, Anna Drezen, Jamie Loftus, and many others.
TF: What are youe plans beyond the fringe?
My future plan is to become a glamorous movie star.
