Kenton Chen, otherwise known as Bridesmen, has just revealed the video for his new track, Someone Who Loves Me, and is working towards the release of an EP in 2019. The LA-based artist has worked with Postmodern Jukebox, and has toured with Kesha and Mary J Blige.
Kenton spoke with The Fountain about his plans for 2019 as well as what it was like to tour with Kesha.
TF: A new video, how exciting, what can we expect?
You can expect a lot of raw emotions and honest performances! I’m all about being truthful and gentle with your emotions, not block them out. I will releasing more music in the future that explores things that we all think about, but probably don’t discuss enough.
TF: Are you working towards the release of a new EP or LP that we can look forward to?
Right now I’m releasing one song at a time, but by the middle of next year, I should have enough to release an EP!
TF: You have performed previously with the likes of Kesha and Mary J Blige, how was that?
Kesha was really great – so funny and relatable. To be honest, when she first came in, I couldn’t believe how silly she was! I would jump at a chance to work with her again.
Mary J Blige is a class act. She was professional and courteous. To be honest, we didn’t get to spend much time with her because it was in the middle of the Grammys. but it was in incredible experience.
TF: And will we have the pleasure of seeing you perform in Scotland anytime soon?
I really want to! I’ve actually never been to Europe but I would certainly love to. I’ve worked with songwriters from Scotland – I’ve really wanted to visit! Hopefully in a year or so.
TF: What has been your favourite gig to date?
I would say Red Rocks in Colorado with Postmodern Jukebox. There were just so many people, and at the end of the night, watching 4500 people turn on their cell phones/flashlights was truly a magical experience.
