Following slots at Reeperbahn and Neighbourhood Festival over the last couple of months, Irish talent Áine Cahill releases her brand new single Water Into Wine on East West Records.
Áine spoke with The Fountain about the single as well as her desire to play in Scotland.
TF: A new single, how exciting, what can we expect from that?
Water into Wine is a song that is about taking back control of a situation.
TF: And what was it like to work with Charlie Targett-Adams on the video?
Charlie is so lovely and a great director! He made me feel really comfortable on camera!
TF: And are we likely to hear of a new EP, or LP release in the near future?
Most likely! There will be a body of work coming from me soon! I’m so excited, I’ve been writing and working on these songs for just about a year!
TF: Can we expect you in Scotland anytime soon?
I would love to come back to Scotland! My granny was from Clyde Bank but I’ve never been. I’ve played a few shows in Glasgow so far.
TF: What has been your favourite gig to date, do you have one?
Favourite gig is hard to chose, because every gig is different! I did a show in Dublin in April where I got to play some new songs for everyone and it was great to see the reaction to them! Maybe that one.
