Social Beingz have partnered with One Moment Records to release their second single, Hendrix, following All Cried Out, which featured Tessa E. The duo, Josh Green and Ryan Louis Griggs are working towards an LP release later in the year, in December.

Josh from the band spoke with The Fountain about what we can expect from them in terms of tours and records.

TF: A new single, how exciting, what can we expect from that?

This is our second single release in as many months. Forming earlier this year in the city with a musically rich history, Manchester, we followed up our first official release with Hendrix. The title Hendrix is a mix of classic guitar riffs, combined with our urban edge and hard hitting production we eluded to the future sounds of our upcoming project. “You played my heart like Hendrix played guitar” is the tag line for the chorus in which we tried to be as lyrical and metaphorical as possible. We throw back to and iconic song from our teenage years, R Kelly’s Ignition Remix, in the melodic rap section in an attempt to emphasise our uniqueness as we deliver everything you would want in a song without any need for a feature artist, in our humble opinion.

TF: And can we expect an EP or LP in the near future, are you working towards that at the moment?

Yeah we have an album coming in December 2018 or January 2019 so we are working hard to finish this. We are currently finishing up tracks that we only wrote a few weeks ago and some that we have had unfinished for years. We have been waiting to release a new project for a long time so we are excited to release this one.

TF: And are you promoting this with a tour, can we expect you in Scotland anytime soon?

We have a UK Tour coming up in February 2019 and a European Tour in April 2019 so all work and preparations are being made for this. It is a very exciting time for us. And, YES we will be in Scotland. We play in Glasgow as part of our U.K. Tour on 2nd February at Stereo Bar. You can grab tickets here.

TF: And what has it been like working with One Moment Records?

It’s early days yet and we are all working as hard as we can to push the track so let’s see what happens! Also it our first time having a song signed with a record label so this was an exciting step for us.

TF: What has been your favourite gig to date, do you have one?

We have played many shows so it is super hard to choose. But our Top two are, a super small intimate show we played in Slovakia a few years ago and our headline show in Manchester recently.
