Babylon is Fallen is the new single from 10 O’Clock Chemical, relevantly about the unveiling of illusion and the birth of scepticism, especially in present society where we coined the term ‘fake news’. Working with Matt Johnson on production and mixed by Adrian Bushby, we should keep an eye out for this band.

The band spoke with The Fountain about their four track EP release later in the year and their live streamed gig.

TF: A debut single release, you must be ecstatic?

Over the moon! Credit to the band and everyone who helped pull it all together. And everyone who has took the time to listen!

TF: And is there going to be an EP or an album out later in the year, or is this all very hush hush for now?

We will be releasing a four track EP in late June, which is very close to completion already.

TF: And what has it been like working with Matt Johnson and Adrian Bushby?

These are two experts in the field and we couldn’t have asked for more off both of them. Matt Johnson is a trojan in the studio, and has taught us a lot about structure and sonic consistency, complimented with mint touring stories! We managed to get Adrian involved by complete off chance but he loved the stuff and truly garnishes our mixes with magic, he is also a proper gent. We should also mention studio boffin Santi Arribas for his engineering aid as well as Earnie Mckone for his studio, and Jean Pierre Chalbos for mastering.

TF: Are you going to be promoting this with a tour, are we likely to see you play live soon?

We have two dates lined up in our domain of Stoke-On-Trent, that is The Honey Box which is live streamed on Facebook through their page 25th March, then The Underground on 22nd June. Currently working on tour dates, you’ll be the first to know.

TF: What has been your favourite gig to date?

The EP launch night was a banger at the Exchange, we got to crack open a bottle of champagne on stage afterwards in celebration! We had a great response. It got emotional.
